"With music, dance and caresses we can discover a different world, where our dreams are possible."
Rolando Toro Araneda.

What's Biodanza?

Biodanza is a technique that works with music and body expression to enhance expression, self-knowledge and the extraordinary experience of sharing our essence with others.

Biodanza is a human integration system of organic renewal, of affective re-education, and of relearning of life's original functions. Its application consists in leading vivencias through music, singing, movements and group encounter situations.

Biodanza is a method to develop our human capacities, communication skills, and relationships; including the feeling of happiness.

Biodanza was created by Rolando Toro Araneda, a Chilean poet, psychologist, psychiatrist, painter, and philosopher. Between 1968 and 1973, the development of the Biodanza theory began from the experiences carried out years before at the Psychiatric Hospital of Santiago and at the Institute of Aesthetics of the Catholic University of Chile. And yes... now, Biodanza is known and practiced worldwide!!

Biodanza is described by Rolando Toro  as “a system of acceleration of the integrative processes at a cellular, metabolic, neuro-endocrinological, immunological and existential levels through enriched environments that result in the transformation of human beings at all levels.”

Biodanza is a path of transformation that touches hearts, lives and emotions and that gives us the possibility to encounter each other and reconnect.

Biodanza is my passion.

Biodanza is part of my life.

Biodanza is an invitation to be part of the change!!

My journey in Biodanza began in 2010, a couple of months after the earthquake that struck Chile in February of that year. I fell in love almost immediately. I perceived changes in myself that I had never experienced before. Soon I entered to study Biodanza at the Biocentric School of Santiago, facilitated by Fernanda Morixe, with whom I danced and nurtured myself to get to what I am now. And as life guided me to work with children, I could not be absent from the Biodanza for Children training, which I have put into practice in the different schools where I have worked.
